The role of the Director
The Director leads the work of the Agency and is responsible for lawful, timely and transparent conduct. The role includes managing internal work, representing the institution and ensuring that decisions are reasoned and available to the public.
The Director does not decide every matter alone. The Council has its own remit, and procedures follow rules that limit arbitrary decisions. This separation of responsibility makes the regulator stable.
Public accountability
- Publishing decisions and other acts in the register.
- Providing reasons based on facts and law.
- Respecting deadlines and the rights of parties.
- Cooperating with the Council, staff and international partners.
- Protecting access to information and personal data.
